I Am Legend will be getting a sequel, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The sequel will star Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan, known for his role in ‘Black Panther’.

 The screenplay is being written by Akiva Goldsman and Mark Protosevich, who adapted Richard Matheson’s novel of the same name for the original film.

I Am Legend, starring Will Smith, was released in 2007. In its plot, the protagonist tries to survive in a city full of people who have mutated into monsters. The protagonist is immune to the virus and tries to save humanity with a vaccine against the disease.
