Դեպի Լիբիա զենքի մաքսանենգությունը կանխելուն ուղղված ԵՄ առաքելությունը սկանդալի պատճառ է դարձել: Ինչպես հայտնում է գերմանական «Շպիգել»-ը, նոյեմբերի 22-ին Բունդեսվերի գլխավոր տեսուչը ցանկացել է ստուգել թուրքական նավը, սակայն պաշտոնական Անկարան վերջին վայրկյանին բողոքել է և թույլ չի տվել ստուգել նավը: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` թուրքական «Ռոզալին Ա» բեռնատարը կիրակի օրը կանգնեցվել է Լիբիայի արևելքում գտնվող Բենղազի քաղաքից մոտ 200 կիլոմետր հյուսիս: Գերմանական «Համբուրգ» ֆրեգատը ԵՄ ղեկավարած «Իրինի» առաքելությունից ստացել է ցուցումներ, որ զենքն անօրինական ճանապարհով է մտնելու Լիբիա: Անկարայի մերժումը ստանալուց հետո գերմանացի զինվորները ստիպված են եղել անմիջապես դադարեցնել բեռի ստուգումը: «Ռոզալին Ա»-ն շարունակել է իր ճանապարհորդությունը դեպի Լիբիա:
