Լռության օրը, որի ընթացքում արգելված է քարոզարշավներ անցկացնել, Ֆրանսիայի ամբողջ տարածքում կմեկնարկի ապրիլի 23-ին՝ նախագահական ընտրությունների երկրորդ փուլից մեկ օր առաջ: Ընտրությունները կանցկացվեն ապրիլի 24-ին: Ֆրանսիայի ընտրական օրենսգրքի համաձայն՝ այդ օրը նախագահի թեկնածուներին արգելվում է նախընտրական հանրահավաքներ անցկացնել, հարցազրույցներ տալ, տարբեր տվյալներ հրապարակել, որոնք ընտրություններից առաջ կարող են ազդել ֆրանսիացի ընտրողների կարծիքի վրա: Վիճակագրության և տնտեսական հետազոտությունների ազգային ինստիտուտի (Insee) տվյալների համաձայն՝ ընտրացուցակներում գրանցված է ավելի քան 48 միլիոն ֆրանսիացի։
