Moscow has the right to mirror the ban on gas pumping through Nord Stream 1 because of the ban on Nord Stream 2, but does not do so, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters, RIA Novosti reported.
He said the country has every right to make a “mirror” decision and impose an embargo on the flow of gas through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline, which is currently loaded at the maximum 100%, due to the unfounded accusations against Russia regarding the energy crisis in Europe and the imposition of a ban on Nord Stream 2. “But so far we are not taking this decision. No one will benefit from it. Although European politicians are pushing us towards it with their statements and accusations against Russia,” he said.
