Մեսրոպեանի աշակերտուհի Կալի Աքանճեան տարիքային իր խումբին մէջ դասուեցաւ առաջինը՝ Համազգայինի “Լեւոն Շանթ” մշակութային կեդրոնի “Թորոս Ռոսլին” ակադեմիայի կազմակերպած միջ-դպրոցական նկարչական մրցումին, որ տեղի ունեցաւ անցեալ ամսուն, Հայոց ցեղասպանութեան 106-րդ տարելիցին առիթով: Նոյն մրցումին, Մեսրոպեանի աշակերտներ Յակոբ Չարըքեան եւ Սէրլի Մուղալեան արժանացան գնահատանքի:

Մեսրոպեանի տնօրէն պարոն Կրէկուար Գալուստ ջերմօրէն գնահատեց մրցումին մասնակցած վարժարանի բոլոր աշակերտները եւ կարեւորեց նման միջոցառումներու մասնակցութեան կարեւորութիւնը՝ գեղագիտական կրթութեան համար:
